1. What is JTAF Fast-Track Review?

Fast-Track Review is an optional service that gives eligible manuscripts priority in editorial handling, reviewer coordination, and review administration.

Fast-Track Review does not bypass editorial screening, peer review, research-integrity checks, revision requirements, or editorial decision-making. The scientific standards applied to Fast-Track and Regular submissions are the same.

2. Official Fast-Track Workflow

Online Submission  →  Editorial Screening  →  Fast-Track Eligibility  →  Payment Verification  →  Expedited Review  →  Editorial Decision

Step 1 — Submit through OJS
Authors submit the manuscript through the JTAF Online Submission System. A Fast-Track request should be stated in the Comments for the Editor field during submission.

Step 2 — Initial Editorial Screening
The Editorial Office checks the manuscript for scope, article format, template compliance, anonymization, metadata completeness, references, authorship information, research integrity, competing interests, Data Availability Statement, and other submission requirements.

Step 3 — Pre-Review Discussion, if required
If corrections are required before peer review, the Editorial Office will open a Pre-Review Discussion in OJS. Authors should respond and submit the requested corrections through the OJS workflow.

Step 4 — Fast-Track Eligibility Confirmation
A manuscript that passes the initial screening may be confirmed as eligible for Fast-Track processing. Submission of a Fast-Track request alone does not automatically establish eligibility.

Step 5 — Official Payment Notice
After eligibility has been confirmed, the Corresponding Author will receive an official payment notice from the JTAF Editorial Office.

Step 6 — Payment Verification
The Fast-Track service begins after the applicable payment has been verified by the Editorial Office.

Step 7 — Expedited Peer Review
The manuscript proceeds through priority reviewer coordination and double-blind peer review. Reviewers remain independent, and editorial standards are unchanged.

Step 8 — Editorial Decision
The editorial decision may include revision, resubmission for review, acceptance, or decline according to the scientific evaluation of the manuscript.

3. Editorial Screening & Official Communication

Official communication concerning manuscript screening, corrections, and editorial requirements is conducted through JTAF OJS.

WhatsApp may be used only as an informal notification channel when necessary. Manuscript files, official revisions, screening results, and editorial decisions should remain recorded within OJS.

4. Fast-Track Processing Target

JTAF prioritizes the editorial handling and reviewer coordination of eligible Fast-Track submissions, with an initial processing target of up to 2 working days after Fast-Track eligibility and payment verification.

The actual duration of peer review may vary depending on reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, revision requirements, and other legitimate editorial circumstances. Fast-Track does not guarantee completion of peer review or acceptance within a fixed period.

5. Fast-Track Review Fee & Payment

IDR 300,000

The Fast-Track Review fee is an optional editorial service fee and is separate from the Article Publication Charge (APC).

Do not make any payment before receiving an official payment notice from the JTAF Editorial Office.

Full payment instructions and verification procedures are available on the JTAF Author Fees & Manual Payment Instructions .

6. Fast-Track Fee vs. Article Publication Charge

The Fast-Track Review fee covers expedited editorial handling and review administration. If a manuscript is subsequently accepted for publication, the applicable Article Publication Charge (APC) is billed separately according to the current JTAF Author Fees policy.

Fast-Track DOES
  • Prioritize editorial handling;
  • Prioritize reviewer coordination;
  • Accelerate administrative processing;
  • Maintain the normal double-blind peer-review standard;
  • Record official communication within OJS.
Fast-Track DOES NOT
  • Guarantee acceptance;
  • Skip peer review;
  • Lower scientific or ethical standards;
  • Guarantee publication in a specific issue;
  • Replace the APC payable after acceptance.

7. Publication Scheduling

Fast-Track Review accelerates editorial handling and peer-review administration. It does not automatically guarantee earlier issue placement. Final publication scheduling depends on acceptance, production readiness, issue capacity, and the journal's publication schedule.

8. Letter of Acceptance (LoA)

A Letter of Acceptance is issued only after the manuscript has received a formal editorial decision of acceptance.

Where applicable, the LoA may be issued within 2 × 24 hours after formal acceptance and completion of the required administrative process.

9. Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for monitoring their OJS dashboard and registered email address, responding promptly to editorial discussions, providing requested corrections, and ensuring that all submitted information and files are complete and accurate.
