Proporsi Pupuk Kandang dan Mulsa Organik terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Mentimun

Produktivitas mentimun masih tergolong rendah akibat rendahnya kesuburan tanah dan pengelolaan bahan organic yang belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh proporsi pupuk kandang dan jenis mulsa organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman mentimun. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Januari-April 2026 menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengap Faktorial (RALF). Faktor pertama adalah proporsi pupuk kandang yang terdiri atas tujuh kombinasi tanah, pupuk kandang kambing, dan pupuk kandang ayam, yaitu K1 (1:1:1), K2 (3:2:1), K3 (2:1:2), K4 (1:3:2), K5 (2:2:1), K6 (tanah saja/kontrol), dan K7 (2:1:1). Faktor kedua adalah jenis mulsa organik, yaitu mulsa jerami padi (M1) dan mulsa sekam padi (M2). Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam (ANOVA) yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi proporsi pupuk kandang dan jenis mulsa organic berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil mentimun. Pada fase vegetatif, perlakuan K2M1 dan K2M2 menghasilkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan luas daun tertinggi. Pada fase generatif, perlakuan K4M1 menunjukkan hasil terbaik dengan rasio bunga betina:jantan tertinggi (0.75), jumlah buah terbanyak (6.0 buah tanaman-1), dan berat buah tertinggi (2150 g tanaman 1). Kombinasi pupuk kendang yang seimbang dan terintegrasi dengan mulsa organic juga menghasilkan produktivitas tertinggi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa optimasi proporsi pupuk kendang kambing dan ayam yang dikombinasikan dengan mulsa organik mampu meningkatkan ketersediaan hara, menjaga kelembapan tanah, serta meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan air dan hara sehingga mendukung pertumbuhan dan hasil mentimun.Downloads
