Abstract

ABSTRAK

 

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan respons Mahasiswa Sastra Indonesia terhadap cerpen Air karya Djenar Maesa Ayu melalui resepsi pembaca. Resepsi pembaca tentang respons pembaca terhadap karya sastra. Responden penelitian terdiri atas dua belas mahasiswa Sastra Indonesia FIB yang diambil secara acak. Pendekatan penelitian ini pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Datanya berupa ujaran dari responden yang sudah ditranskripsikan dan sumber datanya merupakan dua belas mahasiswa Sastra Indonesia Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Mulawarman. Teknik pengumpulannya merupakan teknik baca, teknik catat, teknik wawancara, teknik rekam, dan transkrip. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa cerpen Air karya Djenar Maesa Ayu dapat dipahami oleh sebagian besar responden, karena responden yang dapat menjawab semua jawaban dan ada pula yang tidak memberikan tanggapannya mengenai cerpen tersebut. Sedangkan hampir semua responden menyukai cerpen Air karya Djenar Maesa Ayu dan ada dua responden yang kurang menyukai cerpen tersebut. Dua belas Mahasiswa Sastra Indonesia memberikan harapan terhadap cerpen Air karya Djenar Maesa Ayu sebagian responden memiliki harapan ingin memiliki sifat seperti tokoh perempuan yang pekerja keras dan dapat bertanggung jawab atas perbuatannya. Dalam penelitian ini objek yang digunakan adalah pembaca biasa sehingga dapat memberikan tanggapan yang apa adanya.
