Vol 9 (2025): Special Issue "SESANTI 2025"

Special Issue: Sesanti 2025 – Seminar Sastra, Bahasa dan Seni

This special issue presents selected, peer-reviewed articles developed from papers presented at Sesanti (Seminar Sastra, Bahasa dan Seni) 2025, an academic forum hosted by the Faculty of Cultural Studies, Universitas Mulawarman, Samarinda.Instagram+1

With the overarching spirit of “Merawat Multikulturalisme” (Nurturing Multiculturalism), Sesanti 2025 brings together scholars, researchers, and practitioners in literature, language, and the arts who critically explore how texts, performances, and cultural practices negotiate identity, diversity, and social change in contemporary contexts.Instagram

The contributions in this issue span a wide range of topics, including (but not limited to) literary and cultural studies, linguistics and discourse analysis, translation and media studies, as well as performing and visual arts. Each article represents an extended and substantially revised version of the work presented at the seminar, and has undergone a rigorous double-blind review process in accordance with the journal’s standards.

By documenting and disseminating these works, this special issue aims to strengthen the dialogue between local and global scholarship, highlight the richness of Indonesian and regional cultural expressions, and offer fresh perspectives on how literature, language, and the arts can contribute to more inclusive, reflective, and humane societies.
