Evaluasi Reklamasi Lahan Bekas Tambang Batubara di PT Mahakam Sumber Jaya, Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara Provinsi Kalimantan Timur
Abstract
Reklamasi lahan bekas tambang batubara sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab PT Mahakam Sumber Jaya terhadap pemulihan ekosistem yang terdampak oleh kegiatan pertambangan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas reklamasi lahan pascatambang batuara di PT. Mahakam Sumber Jaya kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan kajian dan analisis pengaruh kondisi fisik tanah dan kondisi iklim mikro terhadap keberhasilan revegetasi Lokasi penelitian berada pada areal reklamasi tahun 2005 dan 2010. Pembuatan plot penelitian berukuran 20 m x 20 m berbentuk persegi. Setiap tahun tanam ditetapkan 3 plot ukur. Data primer dan sekunder dikumpulkan berupa data kedalaman tanah pucuk, data pertumbuhan vegetasi, data ikim mikro Terdapat variasi yang cukup besar dalam kedalaman solum di lokasi reklamasi, dengan rentang dari 54.88 cm hingga 77.64 cm. Ini menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan dalam kapasitas tanah untuk mendukung pertumbuhan tanaman di berbagai area dalam lokasi reklamasi. Variasi ini berpotensi mempengaruhi ketersediaan air dan nutrisi, yang merupakan faktor penting dalam pertumbuhan tanaman. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa reklamasi lahan bekas tambang batubara di PT Mahakam Sumber Jaya mengalami perkembangan yang cukup baik, meskipun terdapat variasi dalam hasil revegetasi antara lokasi yang direklamasi pada tahun 2005 dan 2010.
