Peran Keanekaragaman Jenis Pohon pada Jalur Hijau terhadap Cadangan Karbon (Studi Kasus: Jalan Jenderal Sudirman Kota Prabumulih, Sumatera Selatan)

Abstract


Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) berperan penting dalam menyerap karbon dioksida (CO₂) dan menghasilkan oksigen (O₂), sehingga berkontribusi terhadap pengendalian emisi gas rumah kaca (GRK) di kawasan perkotaan. Namun, peningkatan aktivitas pembangunan di kota-kota berkembang seperti Prabumulih berpotensi menurunkan luas lahan bervegetasi yang berfungsi sebagai penyerap karbon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis keanekaragaman jenis dan profil vegetasi, serta (2) mengestimasi cadangan karbon pada jalur hijau Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Kota Prabumulih, Sumatera Selatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif melalui pengumpulan data primer meliputi jenis dan jumlah vegetasi, diameter, serta tinggi pohon. Data dianalisis untuk menentukan struktur vegetasi dan estimasi cadangan karbon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis pohon dominan adalah Lagerstroemia speciosa (165 pohon), Polyalthia longifolia (125 pohon), dan Mimusops elengi (114 pohon). Total cadangan karbon pada jalur hijau tersebut mencapai 791,67 ton, dengan serapan tertinggi dimiliki Pterocarpus indicus (169,48 ton) dan terendah Muntingia calabura (0,007 ton). Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa keanekaragaman vegetasi berkontribusi signifikan terhadap kapasitas serapan karbon di kawasan perkotaan.
