ANALISIS STEREOTIP GENDER DALAM SERIAL WEBTOON REMARRIED EMPRESS

Seiring berkembangnya teknologi, kegiatan membaca komik yang dahulu berbentuk buku, mulai beralih ke dalam bentuk digital salah satunya adalah Webtoon, dimana salah satu genre yang paling populer adalah genre romansa. Akan tetapi, dalam penyajiannya, cerita yang disajikan masih kental dengan stereotip yang ada dalam masyarakat khususnya stereotip mengenai gender. Meskipun mulai banyak webtoon yang menggambarkan wanita-wanita kuat dan mandiri, akan tetapi webtoon dengan karakter wanita kuat pun biasanya masih membutuhkan bantuan dari laki-laki untuk melindungi mereka di saat bahaya. Tentu saja hal ini membuat perempuan tetap tidak bisa terlepas dari imej lemah dan harus dilindungi. Penelitian ini mempelajari bagaimana stereotip gender digambarkan dalam salah satu webtoon Remarried Empress dengan menggunakan analisis konten dari webtoon tersebut.
