Benarkah Kecerdasan Emosional dan Dukungan Sosial Penting? Studi Adaptabilitas Karir Pada Fresh Graduate

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of emotional intelligence on career adaptability, determine the effect of social support on career adaptability, and determine the effect of emotional intelligence and social support on career adaptability in fresh graduates of Hang Tuah University, Surabaya. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of causality research. Participants in this study amounted to 177 people. The sampling technique used was the non-probability sampling accidental technique. Based on the results of data analysis that has been carried out on the major hypothesis testing, the results show that the influence of emotional intelligence and social support variables together on career adaptability in fresh graduates of Hang Tuah University Surabaya is 62.4%. In the results of the minor hypothesis test, it was found that the effective contribution of emotional intelligence to career adaptability was 62%, the rest was influenced by variables not included in the study and the effective contribution of social support to career adaptability was 21% and the rest was influenced by variables not included in the study.

 

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap adaptabilitas karier, mengetahui pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap adaptabilitas karier, mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional dan dukungan sosial terhadap adaptabilitas karier pada fresh graduate Universitas Hang Tuah Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian kausalitas. Partisipan dalan penelitian ini berjumlah 177 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik non probality sampling accidental. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan pada pengujian hipotesis mayor diperoleh hasil bahwa pengaruh variabel kecerdasan emosional dan dukungan sosial secara bersama-sama terhadap adaptabilitas karier pada fresh graduate Universitas Hang Tuah Surabaya sebesar 62,4%. Pada hasil uji hipotesis minor, ditemukan bahwa sumbangan efektif kecerdasan emosional terhadap adaptabilitas karier sebesar 62% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel yang tidak ikut diteliti dan sumbangan efektif dukungan sosial terhadap adaptabilitas karier sebesar 21% dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel yang tidak ikut diteliti.
