Abstract

Career adaptability is an important psychosocial resource that enables individuals to manage career transitions, navigate work-related challenges, and prepare for changing labor market demands. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of digital interventions in improving career adaptability through a systematic review and meta-analysis. A total of 14 studies were included in the systematic review, of which four met the criteria for quantitative synthesis. The meta-analysis was conducted using a random-effects model with the DerSimonian–Laird estimation method. The primary analysis showed a positive pooled effect (Hedges’ g = 1.09, 95% confidence interval [CI] [0.34, 1.84]). However, between-study heterogeneity was high (I² = 87.6%). The 95% prediction interval ranged from −1.42 to 3.60, indicating substantial potential variation in effect sizes across future studies. A sensitivity analysis excluding Carvalho et al. (2023), which reported a very large effect size (g = 3.29), yielded a more conservative estimate (Hedges’ g = 0.63, 95% CI [0.24, 1.03]), with heterogeneity decreasing to I² = 58.9%. The sensitivity estimate was therefore used as a more cautious reference for interpretation, while the primary analysis was retained to represent the overall available evidence. These findings suggest that digital career interventions have the potential to improve career adaptability, although the limited number of studies and substantial heterogeneity constrain the generalizability of the findings. Further research involving a larger number of studies is needed to examine the consistency of intervention effects across different populations and contexts.

Namun, heterogenitas antarstudi tergolong tinggi (I² = 87,6%).
