Petrogenesis dan Diagenesis Batupasir Berdasarkan Petrografi dan Granulometri Pada Formasi Balikpapan, Daerah Lok Bahu, Kota Samarinda

Abstract


Formasi Balikpapan di Cekungan Kutai terdiri dari batupasir, batulempung, dan batubara, dengan singkapan yang luas di Lok Bahu. Namun, penelitian tentang petrogenesis dan diagenesis belum banyak dilakukan. Penelitian ini menyelidiki asal sedimen, mekanisme transportasi, tempat pengendapan, dan proses diagenetik batupasir melalui analisis petrografi dan granulometri. Untuk STA 1 hingga STA 4, nilai ukuran butir rata-rata berkisar antara 3,1257 dan 3,7245. Menurut skala Wentworth yang dimana mencakup batupasir halus hingga sangat halus. Seluruh sampel berada di bidang Orogenic Recycled, menurut plot diagram Q–F–L Dickinson. Ini menunjukkan bahwa sumber sedimen berasal dari batuan sedimen atau metasedimen yang tererosi ulang, dan ada variasi kematangan dari orogen tua yang stabil hingga orogen aktif yang kompleks.
