ANALISIS MIKROFASIES BATUGAMPING DAERAH BATU CERMIN FORMASI BEBULUH, KOTA SAMARINDA, PROVINSI KALIMANTAN TIMUR

Abstract


Daerah penelitian berada di daerah Batu cermin, kelurahan Sempaja Utara, kecamatan Samarinda Utara, Kota Samarinda, Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Daerah Batu Cermin merupakan salah satu penyumbang batugamping bahan bangunan untuk daerah Samarinda dan sekitarnya. Saat ini keberadaan batugamping dalam bentuk singkapan berangsur habis karena masifnya penambangan batugamping sehingga perlunya penelitian yang berfokus pada batugamping pada daerah tersebut sehingga informasi mengenai segala aspek yang mencakup batugamping dapat didokumentasikan melalui hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dengan tujuan utama penelitian yaitu menentukan fasies dengan klasifikasi (Dunham, 1962) dan klasifikasi (Embry & Clovan, 1971) serta menentukan lingkungan pengendapan batugamping yang mengacu pada mengacu pada Standard Microfacies (SMF) menurut Flügel (1982) lalu dihubungkan dengan Zona Fasies menurut (Wilson, 1975). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deksriptif dan analisis. Metode deskriptif dilakukan untuk membuat prediksi dan mendapatkan manfaat dari suatu permasalahan yang akan dipecahkan, sedangkan untuk metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis petrografi, analisis mikrofasies, analisis dan analisis stratigrafi. Hasil pengamatan lapangan dan laboratorium melalui pendeskripsian diketahui pada daerah Batu Cermin tersusun atas satuan fasies batulanau, satuan fasies floatstone, satuan fasies wackestone, satuan fasies grainstone  dan satuan fasies batupasir. mengacu pada Standard Microfacies (SMF) menurut Flügel (1982) berada pada SMF 8 dan SMF 11 Jika dihubungkan dengan Facies Zone (FZ)  menurut (Wilson, 1975) Batugamping di daerah penelitian terendapkan pada lingkungan FZ 7 (Open Marine) dan FZ 6 (Platform Margin Sand Shoals).
