Evaluasi Pengetahuan PHBS Siswa Sekolah Dasar dalam Upaya Pencegahan Penyakit Diare

Latar belakang: Diare adalah sesuatu penyakit yang masih banyak terjadi pada anak usia sekolah dasar, terutama akibat kurangnya penerapan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS). Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan tentang PHBS dengan kejadian diare pada siswa Sekolah Dasar di Toronipa. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional dan melibatkan 51 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan PHBS dengan kejadian diare (p = 0,000), dengan arah hubungan positif dan kekuatan korelasi yang lemah. Kesimpulan: Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa semakin baik pengetahuan siswa tentang PHBS, maka risiko terjadinya diare cenderung lebih rendah, meskipun pengetahuan saja belum cukup tanpa penerapan perilaku yang tepat. Saran agar pihak sekolah lebih aktif dalam mengedukasi dan membiasakan siswa menerapkan PHBS melalui kegiatan praktik langsung seperti cuci tangan bersama, serta menyediakan sarana sanitasi yang memadai guna menurunkan risiko penyakit diare di lingkungan sekolah.

Article Processing Charge
