Pinisi, warisan budaya tak benda: Antara simbol, identitas, dan tantangan komersialisasi di era pariwisata

Pinisi merupakan warisan budaya tak benda asal Bulukumba, Sulawesi Selatan, yang telah diakui UNESCO sejak 2017. Lebih dari sekadar kapal layar tradisional, Pinisi adalah simbol kebanggaan, keterampilan maritim, serta identitas kultural masyarakat Bugis-Makassar. Artikel ini membahas Pinisi dalam tiga dimensi utama, yaitu simbol, identitas, dan tantangan komersialisasi di era pariwisata. Dari sisi simbol, Pinisi mengandung nilai spiritual, filosofis, dan sosial yang tercermin dalam ritual adat serta keterampilan teknis pembuatannya. Dari perspektif identitas, Pinisi berfungsi pada level lokal sebagai warisan kolektif, pada level nasional sebagai representasi Indonesia sebagai negara maritim, dan pada level global sebagai instrumen diplomasi budaya. Namun, transformasi Pinisi menjadi ikon wisata dan kapal modern menimbulkan tantangan serius, termasuk risiko hilangnya autentisitas, marginalisasi komunitas pembuat, serta dominasi pasar pariwisata. Artikel ini menegaskan bahwa keberlanjutan Pinisi membutuhkan strategi pelestarian partisipatif yang menyeimbangkan antara autentisitas budaya dan tuntutan ekonomi. Pendekatan berbasis komunitas, edukasi generasi muda, perlindungan hukum, serta kolaborasi multilevel menjadi kunci agar Pinisi tetap relevan dan bermakna di tengah arus globalisasi pariwisata.
