ANALISIS PENDAPATAN DAN KELAYAKAN USAHATANI PADI SAWAH MENUJU KETAHANAN PANGAN BERKELANJUTAN DI KABUPATEN KONAWE UTARA (Income Analysis and Feasibility of Lowland Rice Farming Toward Sustainable Food Security in North Konawe Regency, Indonesia)

Lowland rice farming in Motui District, North Konawe Regency plays a vital role in supporting regional food security but faces challenges from declining harvested areas, increasing production costs, and technical constraints that may reduce productivity and farmers' income. This study aimed to analyze farmers' income, evaluate the economic feasibility of rice farming using the Revenue Cost (R/C) Ratio, and assess its implications for sustainable rice production and its potential contribution to regional food security. A quantitative descriptive survey was conducted involving 70 rice farmers. Data were analyzed using production cost, revenue, income, profit, and R/C Ratio analyses. The results revealed that the average production cost was Rp. 6,799,414 per planting season, consisting of explicit costs of Rp. 6,378,600 (93.81%) and implicit costs of Rp. 420,814 (6.19%). Average production reached 59 quintals per farmer, generating average revenue of Rp. 38,031,964, farm income of Rp. 31,653,364, and economic profit of Rp. 31,232,550 per planting season. The R/C Ratio of 5.59 indicates that lowland rice farming is financially feasible and profitable. The findings imply that improving input-use efficiency, strengthening farmer institutions, and supporting production infrastructure are needed to maintain farmers' income and the sustainability of rice production as one basis of regional food supply.
