Peer Review Process

Review Policy

The Journal Manager checks each submitted manuscript and assigns an editor to handle the submission. The editor appoints an internal or external reviewer whose expertise is relevant to the manuscript. The review is conducted using a double-blind peer-review process, with a target review period of approximately two weeks.

If the initially invited reviewer does not respond, the editor may appoint a replacement reviewer. Review comments are then communicated to the author(s), who are required to revise the manuscript in accordance with the reviewers' recommendations. The editor may also edit the manuscript as needed.

A manuscript may be accepted for publication when the reviewer(s) and editor consider the revised manuscript to meet the journal's publication criteria. Each manuscript is reviewed by one to two reviewers. Plagiarism screening may be conducted using Google Scholar searches or Turnitin.

Review Guidelines

The Review Guidelines provide criteria for assessing the suitability of a manuscript for publication and are intended to help reviewers conduct an effective and constructive review. The criteria are presented in the journal's Review Form, which reviewers are expected to complete. The editor provides the reviewer with the manuscript file, Author Guidelines, and Review Form.

Publication Frequency

JAKP publishes one volume per year, consisting of two issues. The first issue is published in April and the second issue in October.

Publication Ethics

Authors who submit manuscripts to JAKP are expected to comply with the journal's publication ethics. The following principles apply:

01

Originality

Manuscripts submitted to JAKP must be original works arising from the authors' research and must not have been published previously in another publication venue. If prior publication is identified, the editorial team may discontinue the publication process.

02

Authorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who carried out the research and contributed to writing the article reporting the research activities and findings.

03

Compliance with Author Guidelines

Manuscripts must follow JAKP's Author Guidelines. Data, tables, graphs, figures, and photographs should be presented clearly and accurately so that the research can be properly evaluated and the article can be prepared for publication.

04

Citation and Plagiarism

Authors must appropriately cite scientific sources used in the manuscript and must avoid plagiarism. Plagiarism checks may be conducted using appropriate detection tools.

05

Contributors

Individuals who contributed to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship may be acknowledged in the Acknowledgements section.

06

Fundamental Errors in Published Work

If authors discover a significant error or inaccuracy in their article, they are responsible for promptly notifying the journal editor and cooperating with the editor to correct or retract the article.

07

Competing Interests

If a competing interest arises among authors, between authors and other parties, or between authors and the journal's editorial team in relation to an article, the editor may discontinue the publication process.

All authors are required to comply with JAKP's publication-ethics policies and to submit the required manuscript declaration or cover letter during submission. Failure to comply with these policies or the submission of inaccurate information may delay or interrupt the publication process.
