Tanah yang subur sangat diperlukan untuk menghasilkan produksi tanaman yang optimal. Penggunaan pupuk anorganik secara terus menerus dan berlebihan dapat menimbulkan penurunan kesuburan tanah yang pada akhirnya akan dapat menyebabkan tanah menjadi kritis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan penilaian kesuburan tanah untuk mengetahui status kesuburan tanah dan rekomendasi pemupukan pada beberapa penggunaan lahan di kota Samarinda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei tanah, sampel tanah diambil secara acak pada beberapapenggunaan lahan (hutan sekunder, kebun campuran, pertanian tanaman semusim, dan lahan bekas tambang). Penilaian kimia tanah menggunakan tabel kimia tanah BPT Bogor 2005. Penilaian kesuburan tanah menggunakan petunjuk teknis evaluasi kesuburan tanah Pusat Penelitian Tanah, Bogor (PPT,1995). Tahapan penelitian melalui analisis tanah dengan lima parameter kesuburan tanah yang digunakan untuk menilai status kesuburan tanah, yaitu KTK; KB; C-organik; kadar P dan K total tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kesuburan tanah pada lokasi penelitian adalah sangat rendah hingga rendah. Kesuburan tanah pada hutan sekunder pada kedalaman 0-30 dan 30-60 cm adalah sangat rendah sedangkan kesuburan tanah pada lahan pertanian semusim, kebun campuran, dan tanah bekas tambang batubara pada kedalaman 0-30 dan 30-60 cm adalah rendah.Downloads
