Analisis Strategi Load shifting sebagai Implementasi Demand Side Management dalam Sistem Smart Grid
Abstract
Peningkatan penetrasi energi terbarukan dan pertumbuhan beban listrik yang semakin dinamis menuntut sistem tenaga modern untuk memiliki mekanisme pengelolaan permintaan energi yang lebih adaptif. Salah satu strategi yang memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam mendukung stabilitas dan efisiensi jaringan adalah load shifting sebagai bagian dari Demand Side Management (DSM). Strategi ini memungkinkan penggeseran konsumsi energi dari periode beban puncak menuju periode beban rendah tanpa mengurangi kebutuhan energi total. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran, teknik optimasi, manfaat teknis, serta tantangan implementasi load shifting dalam sistem Smart Grid. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur terhadap hasil penelitian terdahulu yang membahas DSM, load shifting, Smart Grid, optimasi energi, dan integrasi energi terbarukan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa load shifting mampu menurunkan beban puncak, meningkatkan pemanfaatan energi terbarukan, serta mengurangi biaya operasional sistem. Di sisi teknis, strategi ini memperbaiki profil beban, menurunkan tekanan pada infrastruktur distribusi, dan meningkatkan keandalan jaringan. Meski demikian, implementasi di Indonesia masih menghadapi kendala berupa keterbatasan infrastruktur Smart Grid, regulasi tarif dinamis yang belum optimal, dan tingkat kesiapan konsumen yang bervariasi. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa load shifting merupakan strategi penting dalam mendukung transformasi sistem tenaga menuju operasi yang lebih cerdas, efisien, dan berkelanjutan, terutama pada era transisi energi nasional.
