APLIKASI KAMUS BAHASA PASER – INDONESIA BERBASIS ANDROID

Abstract

Perkembangan Bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa persatuan dan sebagai bahasa negara tidak akan dapat
dipisahkan dari perkembangan bahasa-bahasa daerah. Bahasa daerah diyakini menjadi penyumbang kosa kata
terbesar dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Salah satu bahasa daerah yang dimiliki Indonesia adalah Bahasa Paser yang
merupakan bahasa asli Suku Paser yang terletak di tenggara Kalimantan Timur. Bahasa Paser sangat rentan
terhadap Bahasa Indonesia lantaran tipisnya perbedaan antara kedua bahasa tersebut, jika para penuturnya tidak
konsisten dalam melestarikan maupun pengembangannya, maka Bahasa Paser pun terancam punah. Oleh sebab
itu, agar Bahasa paser terpelihara dengan baik dilakukan dokumentasi dengan membuat catatan berupa kamus,
baik kamus berbentuk buku maupun kamus digital. Kamus merupakan media untuk memudahkan pencarian arti
atau terjemahan dari suatu kata. Perkembangan teknologi saat ini kamus tidak lagi harus berbentuk kamus
konvensional yang berbentuk buku melainkan berbentuk aplikasi kamus berbasis android pada telepon genggam.
Proses paling utama pada aplikasi kamus ini adalah proses pencarian. Proses pencarian yang digunakan pada
aplikasi ini adalah algoritma pencarian biner atau pencarian bagidua dengan pengurutan apung sebagai algoritma
pengurutan katanya. Algoritma pencarian biner merupakan pencarian data dengan susunan data yang telah
terurut. Iterasi pertama pada algoritma ini menguji elemen tengah di dalam data yang telah terurut. Algoritma
akan berhenti ketika elemen ini cocok dengan kunci pencarian. Pengurutan data pada aplikasi ini menggunakan
algoritma pengurutan apung dimana algoritma pengurutan apung memiliki kelebihan yaitu pada kesederhanaan
dan mudah dipahami.
