Abstract

Keberhasilan dan kepuasan mahasiswa pada aspek akademik dan kemasiswaan sangat ditentukan sejauh mana komitmen layanan yang diberikan institusi penyelenggara. Layanan mahasiswa (student services) meliputi segala aspek yang menunjang proses penyelenggaraan pendidikan dan pengajaraan, penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Layanan yang diberikan kepada mahasiswa didasari kepada Prosedur Operasional Baku (POB) yang berlaku. Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan studi pendahuluan untuk membuat rancangan awal yang berbasis sistem aplikasi untuk layanan akademik dan kemahasiswaan di lingkungan Fakultas Ilmu Komputer dan Teknologi Informasi Universitas Mulawarman Samarinda (FKTI Unmul). Pada penelitian ini diterapkan metode survey dan pengumpulan data POB akademik dan kemahasiswaan, analisis data serta pembuatan rancangan aplikasi yang meliputi penjadualan kuliah dan praktikum, rancangan layanan KKN dan PKL, layanan beasiswa dan pembuatan surat keterangan mahasiswa. Studi pendahuluan ini menghasilkan dokumen yang dapat menjadi pinjakan perancangan sistem pada tahap berikutnya.
