SISTEM INFORMASI TRACER STUDY BERBASIS WEBSITE DENGAN SMS GATEWAY PADA FAKULTAS ILMU KOMPUTER DAN TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI UNIVERSITAS MULAWARMAN

Abstract

Tracer Study pada Fakultas Ilmu Komputer dan Teknologi Informasi Universitas Mulawarman merupakan suatu media yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan umpan balik dari lulusan atas proses pembelajaran yang pernah didapatkan semasa di perguruan tinggi yang dibutuhkan dalam dunia kerja. Pada sistem sekarang, penyebaran survei lulusan masih dilakukan secara manual. Tingkat keberhasilan sistem sekarang belum optimal dan mekanisme pengelolaannya membutuhkan waktu dan proses yang lama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sebuah sistem yang mampu menangani penyebaran tracer study berbasis website dengan menggunakan fitur SMS gateway. Pada perancangan sistem, model proses perangkat lunak yang digunakan adalah model waterfall dan model desain sistem yang digunakan Unified Model Language (UML). Sistem ini diimplementasikan dengan bahasa pemrograman Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP), database server MySQL dan service SMS gateway dengan Application Programming Interface (API). Hasil penelitian ini adalah sistem informasi tracer study berbasis website yang dapat menyajikan informasi mengenai alumni, hasil tracer study, evaluasi kinerja lulusan, memudahkan administrator dalam pengelolaan data alumni, memudahkan lulusan dalam pengisian survei lulusan, serta memudahkan pihak pengguna dalam memberikan penilaian evaluasi kinerja lulusan karena dapat dilakukan secara online. Dengan menggunakan fitur SMS gateway, administrator dapat menyebarkan informasi kepada lulusan untuk melakukan tracer study lulusan pada website. Pada sistem ini memiliki pengaturan hak akses yang berbeda antara administrator, lulusan dan pihak pengguna.
