Implementasi Network Monitoring System (NMS) Sebagai Sistem Peringatan Dini Pada Router Mikrotik Dengan Layanan SMS Gateway (Studi Kasus : Universitas Mulawarman)

Router Mikrotik adalah alat yang mempunyai fungsi mengirimkan paket data melalui sebuah jaringan atau internet menuju tujuannya. Sehingga sangat penting peran sebuah router dalam sebuah topologi jaringan. Router sendiri diharuskan tetap menyala bahkan sampai 24 jam agar jaringan internet tersebut tidak putus. Dalam aktivitas router yang seperti ini, router sangat rentan terhadap kerusakan – kerusakan salah satunya panas yang berlebih. Implementasi Network Monitoring System sebagai peringatan dini adalah salah satu penerapan teknologi dalam bidang melakukan perawatan terhadap router Mikrotik. Sistem ini memudahkan administrator jaringan untuk memonitoring sebuah perangkat router sehingga dapat mencegah router mengalami kerusakan akibat temperature suhu yang berlebih. Sistem ini memberikan informasi kepada administrator jaringan dengan mengirimkan notifikasi SMS secara cepat dan tepat. Hasil dari sistem yang dibangun menunjukan bahwa sistem ini sangat membantu administrator jaringan dalam hal memeriksa temperature suhu pada sebuah alat router Mikrotik secara dini, sehingga dapat meminimalisir kerusakan akibat suhu yang berlebihReferences
