Perbandingan Hasil Prediksi Bandwidth Management menggunakan Metode Naive Bayes Classifier dan Decision Tree C4.5

Bandwidth merupakan satuan ukuran untuk koneksi internet, sehingga untuk mendapatkan koneksi yang lancar membutuhkan bandwith yang besar. Saat ini dalam pembagian bandwidth di Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) dibagi berdasarkan jumlah fakultas yang ada. Sehingga saat setiap fakultas melaksanakan kegiatan yang membutuhkan koneksi internet maka performa koneksi akan terasa lambat. Untuk menangani masalah tersebut administrator jaringan harus melakukan penambahan bandwidth. Untuk membantu administrator jaringan dalam penentuan penambahan bandwidth dapat digunakan metode Naïve Bayes Classifier (NBC) dan Decision Tree C4.5. Analisis trafik penggunaan paket data dilakukan di beberapa fakultas, yaitu fakultas ilmu komputer, fakultas hukum, fakultas ekonomi, dan fakultas teknik. Berdasarkan hasil percobaan pada tiga kategori utama, yaitu penggunaan tertinggi, penggunaan sedang, dan penggunaan terendah atas penggunaan paket data setiap fakultas dan unit, status perkuliahan, dan adanya kegiatan yang dilaksanakan. Dari percobaan yang dilakukan, diperoleh hasil penambahan bandwidth “Ya” pada fakultas ilmu komputer dengan probabilitas 0,04 dan gain 0,317 sedangkan fakultas hukum dengan probabilitas 0,011 dan gain 0, fakultas ekonomi dengan probabilitas 0,013 dan gain 0, fakultas teknik dengan probabilitas 0,076 dan gain 0,414 diperoleh hasil penambahan bandwidth “Tidak”.
