Abstract

Hutan merupakan sumber daya alam yang dapat diperbarui, sehingga dapat memberikan manfaat secara lestari. Seperti Hutan Lindung PT.Lestari terletak di Kutai Barat merupakan salahsatu hutan yang harus di lestarikan karena sebagai fungsi perlindungan tata air, perlindungan kondisi permukaan tanah dari bahaya erosi dan atau longsor, serta juga
untuk perlindungan satwa atau fauna serta habitatnya. Mempertahankan fungsi hutan sebagai suatu ekosistem hayati merupakan prinsip yang perlu ditaati dalam pelaksanaan
pengelolaan hutan. Sesuai dengan amanah Undang - Undang, yang berwenang mengelola kawasan hutan adalah pemerintah dan pemerintah daerah. Namun pemerintah dapat melimpahkan penyelenggaraan pengelolaanhutan kepada BUMN bidang kehutanan (PP.6 Pasal 4). Oleh karena itu untuk menangani masalah ini dibuatlah suatu perancangan sistem
informasi geografis pemetaan hutan lindung di Kalimantan Timur. Pembuatan aplikasi system informasi geografis hutan lindung di Kalimantan Timur perancangan menu aplikasi terdapa tmodul yaitu peta sebagai visualisasi data yang diambil dari modul Map Win Gis Activex dan visual basic 0.6.Metodologi pengembangan sistem yang digunakan dalam penehtian ini adalah dengan metode Waterfall (Siklus Air Terjun). Perancangan peta yang ditampilkan dalam system ini menggunakan Google Maps API, perangkat lunak yang digunakan dalam membangun aplikasi ini adalah PHP (Pear Hypertext Prepocessor) sebagai bahasa pemograman, MySQL sebagai database server, Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 sebagai
penunjang.
