Pengukuran Akurasi Horizontal Menggunakan Google Maps dan A-GPS

Smartphone merupakan piranti bergerak yang saat ini sangat sulit untuk dipisahkan dengan aktivitas sehari-hari. Salah satu fitur yang tersemat dalam smartphone modern adalah kemampuannya untuk menentukan posisi geografis berkat adanya sensor A-GPS didalamnya. Informasi geografis ini dapat tampilkan pada peta digital, salah satunya adalah Google Maps. Namun posisi geografis yang dihasilkan oleh A-GPS tidak selalu akurat. Karena itu dalam penelitan ini dilakukan pengukuran tingkat akurasi A-GPS. Akurasi diukur dengan membandingkan hasil akuisisi A-GPS dengan akuisisi menggunakan GPS. Akurasi diukur dengan menggunakan Root Mean Square Error (RSME) untuk menunjukkan selisih akurasi menurut garis lintang dan garis bujur serta akurasi horizontal secara keseluruhan. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa terdapat selisih akurasi horizontal antara A-GPS dan GPS sebesar 5.87m.
