Efektifitas Terapi Kognitif Behavior untuk Menurunkan Tingkat Stres Mahasiswa Penerima Beasiswa Tingkat Akhir Dalam Mengerjakan Skripsi

Abstract


Final year students in doing thesis often experiences stress. Stress is a condition that cannot be separated when taking higher education. The burden of being a scholarship recipient is also a problem because they must meet graduation strandards which often experience difficulties. This training is carried out using cognitive-behavioral therapy to help change mindsets and behaviors to become more positive to reduce stress levels in the process of working on the thesis. The design of this research is one group pretest and posttest, quasi-experimental. The number of participants who took part in the entire training process was 4 people. The results of the different test showed a significance of 0.018 (p > 0.05), which means that there was a significant difference in stress levels after the training. Meanwhile, stress factors can come from internal and external. Internal includes individual abilities and struggles, external includes campus demands, allowance demands scholarship, family, and environment.

 

Mahasiswa tingkat akhir dalam mengerjakan skripsi tidak jarang mengenalami stres. Stress merupakan suatu keadaan yang tidak dapat dipisahkan saat menempuh pendidikan diperguruan tinggi. Beban menjadi mahasiswa penerima beasiswa juga menjadi suatu permasalahan karena harus memenuhi standar kelulusan yang tidak jarang mengalami kesulitan.  Pelatihan ini dilakukan menggunakan terapi kognitif-perlaku untuk membantu mengubah pola pikir dan perilaku agar menjadi lebih positif sehingga dapat mengurangi tingkat stres dalam proses mengerjakan skripsi. Desain penelitian ini adalah one group pretest and posttest, kuasi eksperimen. Jumlah peserta yang mengikuti keseluruhan proses pelatihan yaitu sebanyak 4 orang. Hasil uji beda menunjukkan signifikansi 0.018 (p > 0.05) yang berarti ada perbedaan tingkat stress yang signifikan setelah dilakukan pelatihan.  Sementara itu, faktor stress dapat berasal dari internal dan eksternal. Internal meliputi kemampuan dan perjuangan individu, eksternal meliputi tuntutan kampus, tuntutan tunjangan beasiswa, keluarga, dan lingkungan.
