Tinjauan Beban Kerja terhadap Keterikatan Kerja Tenaga Honorer yang Bekerja Tiada Henti di Masa Pandemi

Abstract


Honorary workers have an excessive workload during Covid-19 which cause their work engagement decrease. This study aimed to determine the relationship between workload and work engagement during the Covid-19 on honorary workers. This study used a quantitative approach. The method of data collection was by interviewing and distributing questionnaire to respondents. Total population and samples were 906 and 100 honorary workers of Mulawarman University. Data analysis were done by correlation testing of Pearson Product Moment. There was a negative relationship between workload and work engagement during the Covid-19 on honorary workers (r count = -0.621 > r table = 0.195 and p = 0.000 < 0.050). Honorary workers should develop their character and ability to increase the work engagement through activities held by leaders (such as education, training, and capacity building) and the leaders provide reward for work performance.

 

Tenaga honorer memiliki beban kerja yang berlebih saat Covid-19 yang menyebabkan keterikatan kerjanya menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan beban kerja dan keterikatan kerja di masa Covid-19 pada tenaga honorer. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara dan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada responden. Jumlah populasi dan sampel sebanyak 906 dan 100 tenaga honorer Universitas Mulawarman.  Analisa data dengan melakukan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Terdapat hubungan negatif antara beban kerja dan keterikatan kerja di masa Covid-19 pada tenaga honorer (r hitung = -0,621 > r tabel = 0,195 dan p = 0,000 < 0,050). Tenaga honorer sebaiknya mengembangkan karakter dan kemampuan untuk meningkatkan keterikatan kerja melalui kegiatan yang diadakan pimpinan (seperti pendidikan, pelatihan, dan capacity building) dan pimpinan memberikan reward atas prestasi kerja.
