Innovative Work Behavior: Role of Knowledge Sharing, Organizational Justice, And Gender in Retail Bussiness

Abstract


Business competition in the retail sector is currently very competitive characterized by the number of retail businesses in Indonesia that compete starting from traditional retail businesses and the emergence of modern retail businesses. Retail companies are facing intense pressure due to technological advancements, increased consumer expectations, and fierce competition. To deal with these market changes, strategies are needed. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of organizational justice and knowledge sharing on innovative work behavior among retail company employees. This study also aims to examine how gender role differences affect innovative work behavior. A total of 110 employees from a retail company in makassar was recruited using non-probability sampling technique. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to test the validity of each scale using Mplus software. Multiple regression analysis method was utilized to analyse the data, using SPSS software. The results showed that organizational justice and knowledge sharing significantly have a positive influence on innovative work behavior. This study suggests the company should implement fair, transparent policies, and strengthen the culture of knowledge sharing to create innovative work behavior.

Persaingan bisnis di sektor ritel saat ini sangat kompetitif ditandai dengan banyaknya bisnis ritel di Indonesia yang bersaing mulai dari bisnis ritel tradisional hingga munculnya bisnis ritel modern. Perusahaan ritel menghadapi tekanan yang hebat karena kemajuan teknologi, meningkatnya ekspektasi konsumen, dan persaingan yang ketat. Untuk menghadapi perubahan pasar tersebut, diperlukan strategi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran keadilan organisasi dan berbagi pengetahuan terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif pada karyawan perusahaan ritel. Penelitian ini juga ingin melihat bagaimana perbedaan peran gender terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif. Sebanyak 110 karyawan dari sebuah perusahaan ritel di Makassar direkrut dengan menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) digunakan untuk menguji validitas setiap skala dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak Mplus. Metode analisis regresi berganda digunakan untuk menganalisis data, dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa organizational justice dan knowledge sharing secara signifikan memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap innovative work behavior. Penelitian ini menyarankan perusahaan perlu menerapkan kebijakan yang adil, transparan, dan memperkuat budaya berbagi pengetahuan untuk menciptakan perilaku kerja yang inovatif.
