Abstract

Permasalahan gizi yang saat ini terjadi akibat dari penerapan pola makan yang salah dimana banyak orang tidak mengamati keragaman konsumsi makanan yang berkaitan dengan kebutuhan tubuh terhadap energi dan proporsi makanan yang seimbang. Masalah lain yang sering terjadi pada remaja adalah mengonsumsi makanan dalam porsi besar dengan tinggi lemak dan karbohidrat tanpa memedulikan kandungan gizi didalamnya. Perilaku makan tersebut dapat berakibat buruk pada kesehatan remaja dengan timbulnya masalah gizi seperti kekurangan gizi serta kelebihan gizi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi gizi terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan remaja di SMPN 2 Karawang Barat tentang konsumsi makanan beragam dalam upaya penerapan 4 pilar gizi seimbang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain penelitian Non-Equivalent Group Control (Quasi Experiment) atau eksperimen semu yang dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2023. Analsisi data menggunakan uji paired-samples T-test. Hasil menyatakan bahwa tidak terdapat adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara pengaruh edukasi gizi terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan remaja tentang konsumsi makanan beragam. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas pengetahuan responden terhadap konsumsi makanan beragam berada pada tingkat pengetahuan yang tinggi bahkan sebelum dilakukannya edukasi.

Article Processing Charge

In order to improve the quality of articles, starting in June 2025 each article to be published in JKMM is subjected to a fee of IDR 550,000 or USD 34.
