Peer Relationships in Adolescents in Public Junior High Schools in Pontianak City" or add the subtitle: Cross-Sectional Study
Abstract
Remaja merupakan masa kritis dimana stressor di masa ini menimbulkan berbagai konflik yang terjadi antara sesama teman. Kondisi tersebut akhirnya berujung pada perilaku agresif, serta berdampak buruk bagi kesehatan mental remaja karena menimbulkan permasalahan hingga depresi. Oleh sebab itu, untuk mendapatkan dukungan teman sebaya diperlukan hubungan yang baik pada remaja khususnya di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi gambaran hubungan teman sebaya pada remaja di sekolah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Diketahui populasi remaja dalam penelitian terdiri dari kelas IX dan kelas VIII didapatkan data sebanyak 402 remaja di SMPN Kota Pontianak dengan teknik sampling yakni purposif sampling. Instrumen penelitian yakni kuesioner sosiodemografi dan Peer Relationship Scale for Adolescents (PRSA) bahasa Indoensia dan telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitas, analisa univariat yang disajikan dalam bentuk distribusi frekuensi. Temuan dari penelitian ini total PRSA 102.8 (18.337) dengan domain intimasi 46.07(8.920), domain popular 14.08 (3.306), domain trust 24.50 (4.795), domain insightfulness 18.23 (3.673). Temuan dalam penelitian ini melaporkan bahwa rata-rata remaja memiliki hubungan dekat dengan teman sebaya, hal ini ditunjukan dari ke empat domain yakni keintiman yang menunjukan tingginya hubungan intim dalam hubungan teman sebaya, memiliki popularitas tinggi remaja di kalangan remaja, tingkat kepercayaan remaja terhadap teman sebayanya, tingkat wawasan remaja dalam hubungan teman sebaya
