KAJIAN TENTANG INTEGRASI 'GIS PARTICIPATORY-DECISION SUPPORT' DALAM MANAJEMEN TATA RUANG SUATU WILAYAH

Ruang adalah wadah yang dapat berupa ruang daratan, ruang lautan, dan ruang udara sebagai satu kesatuan wilayah, tempat manusia dan makhluk lainnya hidup dan melakukan kegiatan serta memelihara kelangsungan hidupnya. Proses pembangunan yang dilakukan baik oleh pemerintah, swasta dan pelaku lainnya akan banyak memerlukan ruang sebagai wadah untuk pelasanaan pembangunan itu sendiri.
Agar proses pembangunan yang dilakukan pada suatu wilayah ruang tertentu dapat memberi dampak positif kepada kesejahteraan masyarakat banyak, sebaiknya dilaksanakan dengan mangacu kepada perencanaan penempatan ruang yang tepat. Perencanaan tata ruang yang tepat dihasilkan dengan proses kolaborasi dan harus melibatkan seluruh masyarakat agar keputusan yang dihasilkan atas perencanaan penempatan ruang tersebut dapat mewakili seluruh kepentingan kelompok masyarakat dan penduduk setempat. Makalah ini melakukan sebuah kajian berdasarkan pada referensi yang ilmiah terhadap kemungkinan penerapan teknologi informasi khususnya perangkat lunak Sistem Informasi Geografi yang berbasis Web dan partisipatif untuk digunakan sebagai alat argumentasi berbasis ruang serta penerapan metode analisis keputusan multikriteria untuk menentukan kecocokan / kesesuaian penetapan perencanaan ruang suatu wilayah.
