Studi Pemanfaatan Network Monitoring System Pada Intra/Inter-net Pemerintah Provinsi Kalimantan Timur Sebagai Bahan Rekomendasi Untuk Memaksimalkan Utilisasi Jaringan Intra/Inter-net

Abstract

Pemerintah Provinsi Kalimantan Timur telah mengembangan jaringan yang menghubungkan Kantor Pusat Jaringan (Network Operation Center/NOC) dengan sejumlah SKPD, Rumah Sakit Daerah, sekolah-sekolah serta unit-unit lainnya dalam satu kumpulan jaringan (cloud network). Pemanfaatan jaringan infrastruktur TIK yang telah dikembangkan oleh Pemerintah Provinsi Kalimantan Timur merupakan aspek yang tidak kalah penting jika dibandingkan dengan aspek pengembangannya. Aspek pemanfaatan ini harus dievaluasi secara berkala dalam rangka untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut. Untuk memperoleh hasil evaluasi kinerja jaringan diperlukan mekanis manajemen jaringan yang dinamakan sistem manajemen jaringan (Network Monitoring System/NMS).
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam rangka untuk melakukan suatu kajian atau studi yang mempelajari tentang pemanfaatan aplikasi NMS pada jaringan Pemprov Kaltim dalam bentuk data traffic monitoring. Pada kajian ini juga akan digali berbagai informasi umum mengenai keberadaan fasilitas TIK secara umum yang terdapat pada
SKPD dan unit di lingkungan Pemprov Kaltim.
