Abstract

Bertambahnya jumlah mahasiswa pendatang yang berasal dari luar kota Samarinda berdampak pada bertambahnya jumlah penduduk disekitar lingkungan Universitas. Di Samarinda sendiri umumnya mahasiswa lebih memilih kost sebagai tempat tinggal. Bagi pendatang membutuhkan proses adaptasi yang tidak sebentar untuk mengenal lingkungan yang baru, sehingga adalah suatu kesulitan untuk mencari kost. Pertimbangan dalam memilih kost juga adalah yang tidak sebentar jika harus mendatangi satu persatu pemilik kost, sehingga dibutuhkan sebuah aplikasi yang dapat membantu pencari kost. Aplikasi yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut adalah aplikasi berbasis mobileandroid karena dapat diakses dimana saja dan mengingat berkembangnya sistem operasi android di Indonesia. Layanan yang tersedia pada aplikasi dapat diakses secara penuh melalui website yang diantaranya mendaftar pemilik kost, memasukkan data kost dan data kamar, pencarian data kost berdasarkan lokasi kost menggunakan peta dari google maps api.
