KONVERSI CITRA MENJADI TEKS UNTUK PENGAMANAN DATA

Pengamanan data dapat dilakukan pada berbagai jenis data, contohnya pada teks, citra, suara maupun video. Pada penelitian ini untuk mengamankan data citra tidak menerapkan metode kriptografi, tetapi dengan cara mengubah data citra yang awalnya berekstensi missal jpeg, gif atau bmp menjadi file teks yang akan disimpan menjadi file .txt. Hal tersebut dilakukan untuk memperkecil ukuran data dan mengelabuhi orang bahwa sebenarnya data asli tersebut berupa data citra.
Dari hasil uji coba yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa hasil konversi yang berupa data teks cukup rumit untuk seseorang memahami pesan yang yang tersimpan didalamnya. Selain itu dengan adanya perubahan jenis file dapat lebih menjaga kerahasiaan citra, sehingga pada penelitian ini tidak menerapkan suatu metode kriptografi.
