IMPLEMENTASI RENEWABLE ENERGY DIRECTIVE UNI EROPA SEBAGAI HAMBATAN NON TARIF PERDAGANGAN

Abstract

European Union’s decision to adopt Renewable Energy Directive has stired two opposing views regarding the policy. On one side, it is seen as an EU’s commitment to tackle global environment issue as global warming and other environmental degradations posing further threats on human’s life, but on the other side, it is perceived as a new form of protectionism to secure EU’s main commodity, biodiesel, from fossil-based energy. This paper will present some debates and issues surrounding that controversial policy.
