Kidung Rumekso Ing Wengi sebagai Simbol Spiritualitas dan Instrumen Sosial: Membaca Ulang Tradisi Lokal dalam Konteks Budaya Jawa Kontemporer

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji ulang peran ulang dan makna sosial-spiritual Kidung Rumekso Ing Wengi , sebuah teks kidung Jawa kuno, dalam membentuk identitas budaya dan spiritual masyarakat Jawa di era modern. Fenomena meningkatnya popularitas kidung ini di media sosial menandakan adanya kebangkitan spiritualitas lokal di tengah krisis identitas dan tekanan modernisasi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif melalui analisis teks, observasi partisipatif, dan wawancara mendalam, studi ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana kidung ini tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai doa perlindungan tetapi juga sebagai instrumen sosial yang memperkuat kohesi komunitas dan ketahanan budaya. Mengacu pada teori identitas sosial, pertukaran sosial, dan adaptasi budaya, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kidung Rumekso Ing Wengi memainkan peran dinamis dalam kehidupan masyarakat Jawa sebagai simbol spiritual yang terus beradaptasi, sekaligus menjadi cermin sosial yang memfasilitasi pemaknaan ulang atas tradisi di tengah transformasi sosial. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam kajian ilmu sosial, khususnya dalam memahami interaksi antara spiritualitas lokal, identitas budaya, dan dinamika sosial kontemporer.
